Visiting the Tasting Room
What are your visiting hours?
The winery is open from 11:00am to 4:30pm on most days of the year. The last tasting is held at 4:00. Wines by the bottle and by the glass are available for purchase until 4:30pm. The property closes at 5:00pm. On occasion the winery is rented out for a private event. Please click here to review an early Tasting Room closings. We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and 4th of July.
How much is a wine tasting?
Our wine tasting includes a selection of 5 Clos LaChance wines. There are two tasting options available, a $15 and $30 tasting.
- $15 Tasting: A selection of 5 Reserve and/or Designate Wines
- Wine Club Members: Free for current Members
- Non Wine Club Members: Refunded with the purchase of 2 bottles or more from the tasting or after joining the Wine Club
- $30 Tasting: A selection of Designate and various award winning wines. This tasting includes a Clos LaChance logo’ed glass to take home
- Wine Club Members: $15 for current Members
- Non Wine Club Members: $15 will be refunded with the purchase of 2 bottles from the tasting or after joining the Wine Club
Reservations are required for groups of 8 people or more. Please call 408.686.1050 to schedule an appointment to ensure we can accommodate your group. The pricing is the same as above. Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are required for groups of 8 or more. If you would like to make a reservation for a private tasting with a smaller group, we would love that and will treat you extra special.
Can I bring a group to the Tasting Room?
Groups are welcome in the Tasting Room, however a group of 8 or more requires an advance reservation. The cost of the tastings are either $15 or $30, depending on the tasting menu you select. Click the “How much is a wine tasting” tab for details.
Is there parking at the winery?
Yes, the winery has a number of parking spaces located at the top of the hill towards the public entrance of the building. If those spots are full, guests are welcome to park on the left hand side of the road only. Please follow signage.
Can I bring my own food and beverages to the winery?
Guests are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages during Tasting Room hours. No outside alcohol is allowed on site, including previously purchased Clos LaChance Wines. The winery reserves the right to confiscate outside alcohol if it is being consumed anywhere on the property.
Does the winery offer tours during the week and/or on the weekends?
Clos LaChance offers tours at 11:00am and 1:00pm with an advance reservation. Please call the office to check availability or to schedule, 408.686.1050.
Does the winery sell food?
Clos LaChance has a selection of crackers, cheeses and meats available for purchase from the Tasting Room bar. Other items are available on a seasonal basis (chocolates, nuts etc.).
