Estate Series:
A deep, opaque ruby color. Aromas of cherries, blackberries, smoke, dill and leather. A hint of all spice. Flavors of dried blackberries and dried strawberries. Meaty. The acidity and tannins are very balanced, but high. This wine will lay down for a few years. Hints of vanilla on the finish, which is long.
A dark ruby red/purple. Great legs when I swirl the glass, showcasing the higher alcohol level of this wine. The nose emanates dried cranberries, caramel, maybe a little lavender. A hint of dusty cocoa and spice. On the mouth, flavors of dried cranberries and dark blackberries are interlaced with vanilla and peanuts. The sweetness and the tannins are very balanced. This wine would pair nicely with a chochocolate crème brulee.
Dark and rich. Aromas of dark chocolate, cherries, figs, brown sugar and baking spices. A slight floral note. Stewed cherries and milky chocolate, vanilla and jammy plum flavors. The higher alcohol balances well with the residual sugars. Long, velvety finish with a hint of white pepper.
