Special Selections Series:

2006 Lila’s Cuvee, Rhône Style Blend
2006 Lila’s Cuvee, Rhône Style Blend  -  $50.00
A rich, dark opaque, ruby color. The first and dominant aroma on the nose is a bakers spice, with hints of brambleberry fruit--blackberry, raspberry. Cocoa. Dried cherries and savory spice. Flavors of dried fruits, raspberries, chocolate and cherry pie. That savory component carries through to the mouth, in tandem with a solid acid and tannin base. Will age nicely and pair well with hearty meals.

2006 Special Selection Series Meritage
2006 Special Selection Series Meritage  -  $50.00
Juicy is a word that comes to mind when smelling and tasting this wine. The acid component combined with a multitude of fruit flavors gives this wine a “juicy” component. But its more than that, because it is not sweet at all. Aromas of cherries, black currants and mint/eucalyptus. Flavors of dried black fruits. A rich mid-palate with hints of vanilla and oregano. A long finish that leaves the mouth watering. Soft tannins and balanced acidity. Drink now or anytime in the next 10 years.

2007 Biagini Vineyard Pinot Noir
2007 Biagini Vineyard Pinot Noir  -  $50.00
Darker in color then our regular Santa Cruz Mountains blend. Aromas of fresh raspberries, dried cherries, cola and a touch of leather. Hints of bakers spice and vanilla. On the entry to the palate, the cherry flavor follows through, but more of a fresh, dark bing cherry flavor. Mouth-watering acids practically make my stomach growl for a piece of duck or fresh salmon to pair with this wine. A slight earthiness balances well with the fresh fruit—very Burgundian in style. On the finish, the spice combines nicely with the fruit and the earth. Tannins are medium, but balanced out by the cool weather acidity. A really beautiful wine.

2007 Biagini Vineyard Pinot Noir: Nancy's Block
2007 Biagini Vineyard Pinot Noir: Nancy's Block  -  $50.00
Fairly concentrated purple hues for a Pinot Noir. Aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, graham and sweet cherries. Hints of wet forest floor. Flavors of bright cherry fruit, strawberries and cola. The mid palate holds strong with sweet plums and finishes nicely with an earthy component and a hint of spice.

2005 Whitestone Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
2005 Whitestone Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon  -  $40.00
A big, bold Cabernet Sauvignon. Incredible complexity due to extensive barrel and bottle aging. Dark blackberry aromas with vanilla and classic Cabernet eucalyptus. Flavors of cassis, plum and blackberries dominate throughout the palate and into the long, smooth finish.

2008 Biagini Vineyard Chardonnay
2008 Biagini Vineyard Chardonnay  -  $35.00

*NEW RELEASE* Slightly cloudy due to the unfiltered and unfined style of this wine. On the nose, I get butterscotch, butter with toast and fresh applesauce and pear. A rich mouthfeel that confirms the nose—caramel apples, and creamy butter. Toasty oak. High acids are well balanced with the rich oak component of this wine, making it a nice pairing with many foods, including lobster with butter and Chicken Alfredo.

2008 Liebeler Vineyard Chardonnay
2008 Liebeler Vineyard Chardonnay  -  $35.00

*NEW RELEASE* A slight cloudiness and some remnants of the less the wine was aged on. Fruit aromas: pineapples, bananas, pears, apple crisp and melon. New French oak is apparent. Caramel and vanilla flavors with a touch of smoke. The oak is very balanced with the fruit and solid acidity. Viscous mouthfeel. The flavors of fruit and oak are concurrent with the aromas. Tropical, pears and apples. Vanilla and butterscotch on the finish. Pair with a chicken or fish dish with a creamy, buttery sauce and capers.

2006 Late Harvest Semillon - Nectar 375mL (half bottle)
2006 Late Harvest Semillon - Nectar 375mL (half bottle)  -  $14.00

A beautiful yellow gold color that will darken with bottle age. Made in the Sauternesstyle with botrytized grapes. Rich aromas of orange peels, honey, almonds and apricots. The flavors of dried peach, apricot, honey and toasty almonds are perfectly balanced with a natural sweetness and acidity.
